This was my first wedding of 2017 and I was really excited to be photographing Laura and Henry’s dream Deia wedding. It was a stunning summer day in early June. I had a warm welcome from this really gracious and genuine couple. You could tell how excited they were about this weekend. Their friends and family were equally lovely – making me feel like one of the guests. This made it so much easier to capture their wedding in the most natural and organic way possible.

They chose Cas Xorc for the location of their whole wedding weekend, taking over the boutique hotel. This is one of the most beautiful locations in Mallorca, with incredible views over the Soller valley and down to the sea at Port de Soller. It is an old finca from 1790, surrounded by ancient olive groves and mountains, providing us with an amazing backdrop for photos.  The ceremony was held in Deia church, on top of the hill in the middle of the village. Henry and his best man David drove the vintage Porsche up the winding lanes to the church and Laura arrived with her father and bridesmaids after a very emotional journey.

Following the ceremony the couple and all the guests headed back to Cas Xorc where cava and canapes awaited them, accompanied by live, Spanish guitar players. Dinner was served just before sunset and between courses we had time to go off and explore the grounds for the couple portraits. We were lucky enough to have a stunning sunset and I whisked the couple off for another quick photo session to capture the best of the light. The night ended with more live music, many gins and raucous dancing late into the morning hours!!
